How do I call with Globe?

Phoning has never been easier and more convenient: to stay in touch and stay on budget!

Dialing instructions

1. Dial the respective Access number of the country you are calling from
2. Follow Voice Instructions:

  • Choose the language (digit the corresponding number)
  • Enter your Pin Code, when asked for
  • Dial the complete international number you wish to call, as follows:
00 + country code + area code + phone number (from wherever the call originates) followed by (#) “pound key/hash”
(The updated available minutes to the chosen destination will always be announced by the prompt-voice before completing the call)

    3. For further calls press the Star key (*) once,
        without hanging up

To Phone from 30 Countries to the whole World
GLOBE can normally be used From Any LandLine/Fixed Private and Public touch-tone-phone.
GLOBE can normally be used From Any Mobile Phones, with a Local SIM-Card, from several countries (check access-numbers sheet, where available).

Calling from a Mobile Phone
The economical advantage depends always on the tariff-plan subscribed with Your Mobile-Phone Provider.
Be aware that for international roaming Your Mobile Phone Provider might bill you direcly “roaming-costs” for incoming calls as well. For this reason we advise you to use local SIM-Cards, in order to avoid outgoing and incoming international roaming-costs.
Calls in “roaming” from Mobile Phones are normally also possible, if roaming service is activated,
from several countries (check access-numbers sheet, where available) subject to bilateral agreements between Your Mobile Phone Provider and the one you are connected to, abroad.
Verify in this case if Your Mobile Phone Provider bills you directly “roaming-costs” for calling toll-free numbers.
From the countries where Airtime* applies, rates are especially economical to compensate the airtime-cost.
*Airtime is the time spent talking on a wireless network and is billed directly to you from the Mobile Phone Provider. (including 800 numbers)

Use Globe FROM ITALY
Beside the toll-free Access Number, in Italy is also available a Local Access Number (geographic number/area code 02) that – at the cost of a local/national phone call – offers much cheaper international rates
In practice the phone-call cost would be subdivided as follows:
1. You pay directly to your Fixed- or Mobile-Phone Provider the call from your Fixed- or Mobile-Phone to the Local Access Number ((geographic number/area code 02)
2. The call from the Local Access Number to your Destination Number will be charged (deducted) on your Card at a lower rate (see rates: “from Italy – Local Access”)
3. For many destinations the sum of the two costs turns out to be much more economical than calling directly from Fixed- or Mobile-Phones with the toll-free Access Number. The economical advantage depends always on the tariff-plan subscribed with the Fixed- and/or Mobile-Phone Provider you are using)

NOTE
Some Hotels could ban the access to toll-free numbers or charge the use of them.
From public payphone – in some countries – you might need to insert coins or local magnetic cards, that usually you get back – without charges – at the end of the call.
